Becoming a Professional Member of The Welding Institute

This is a North Western Branch event organised and run by our North Western Branch for its members. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview: Have you ever thought about becoming a professional member of The Welding Institute, or gaining Engineering Council registration? This webinar will cover:

·         The benefits of membership with The Welding Institute

·         Understanding registration with the Engineering Council, the UK regulatory body for the engineering profession, including the titles of Engineering Technician, Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer.

·         How to apply for membership, and potentially also Engineering Council registration

Speaker Biography: Tom joined The Welding Institute in 2017 as a Membership Officer supporting applications for Professional Membership and Engineering Council registration.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Attending this event supports your professional development.  You can claim 2 CPD points per hour for this event.  As a member of the Welding Institute you can record your CPD activity online from your membership portal.
