Standard Route to Registration

What is the Standard Route?

The standard route is for anyone with the relevant accredited degree qualifications or an approved vocational or work-based qualification.

It is the most straightforward route to each professional title as you will be assumed to have the acquired the necessary underlying knowledge and understanding and need not provide further evidence of your learning but instead focus your application to evidence your competences.

How do I know if my degree is accredited?

A list of accredited courses can be found on the Engineering Council website. Alternatively, you can contact the Membership Team who will be able to advise you on the status of your degree and also provide support and guidance and help you through the process.

If we can ascertain that you hold an accredited or approved qualification, you would simply need to complete the application form and submit it with the required supporting documents, and your journey towards Professional Membership and Engineering Council registration would have begun.

If you think your qualification is accredited, then submit your application for professional membership and Engineering Council registration and we will get the process going for you.
