Sheffield Branch AGM and talk 'A gift to yourself - how investing in membership can help career progression.'

The Sheffield Branch Talk and Annual General meeting (AGM) are organised and run by our Sheffield Branch for its members. The AGM will follow the talk.

Other members and non-members are welcome to register for the talk.

Overview: In this talk, Lois Appleyard will outline the benefits of belonging to a professional institute in supporting career progression as well as expanding personal knowledge and skills. Speaking from her personal experience and from observing the growth and development of colleagues and members over the last 10 years, Lois will outline the challenges and opportunities available for members and engineering professionals.

Speaker Biography: With over 10 years experience with The Welding Institute, Lois has supported a number of professionals on their career journey from school leavers and apprentices to retired engineers and experts. Each career path is unique but the opportunities and enthusiasm that can be accessed and shared between members of any group continue to be an inspiration and motivation.
