State of the Nation: National Skills Shortages

This is a South Western Branch event organised and run by our South Western  Branch for its members. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview: A Look at the National Skills shortages, problems encountered in recruitment and the Educational programmes / Competitions available to redress some of the issues.

Speaker: Hugh McPhillips.(Fabrication and Welding Consultant)

Speaker Biography: Lecturer in Fabrication & Welding at College of North West London for over 35 years and is now a consultant working with awarding bodies, colleges and universities. Currently working with Institute of Apprenticeships, City & Guilds and the Royal Academy of Engineering on the new T- Levels. Author of two books and Technical Director of an E- Learning Programme at Levels II and III in Fabrication & Welding
