This is a London Branch event organised and run by our London Branch for members of the London and Kent Branches. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.
Overview:- Historically, oil and gas operators ask suppliers to deliver against a different set of requirements for each order. This is incredibly inefficient. By standardizing the specifications used for procuring equipment, the supply chain becomes better, faster and cheaper. By building on existing industry standards Joint Industry Project 33 has delivered over 50 standardised procurement specifications that are now being adopted and implemented by the operators on major projects where benefits are already being demonstrated. The presentation will cover how JIP33 relates to products, materials and special processes such as welding and other IOGP recommended practices.
Speaker:- David Harris, JIP33 Engineer for Published specs
Speaker Biography:- David has over 30 years as an oil & gas professional, starting out in well construction and advancing to be Global Quality Systems Manager for the world’s largest oilfield services company. For the last three years has managed specifications for the Joint Industry Program 33 within IOGP. He has participated in the development of international quality standards and specifications with ISO and API and is a certified Quality Practitioner at the Chartered Quality Institute.
