Welder training, apprenticeships and projects at WEC Group

This is a South Western Branch event organised and run by our South Western  Branch for members in the South West and South Wales. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview: The presentation will be outline the WEC Group apprenticeship programme and previous projects. Kris will also discuss the building our state of the art £3 million TWI Certification Ltd CSWTO Approved Centre

Speaker:- Kris Mercer AWeldI,  Academy Manager and Master Welding Instructor, WEC Group. 

Speaker Biography:- Kris started his career in 1989 as an apprentice welder/ plater undertaking work for the nuclear industry. In this time, he became time served and qualified. Over his 34-year career he has gained varied experience working in all areas of welding and fabrication and has gained great knowledge from this experience, finally working as a 3.1 inspector before moving onto Academy Manager and Master welding Instructor at WEC Group
