Scottish Branch Technical Talk

This is a joint Scottish Branch event organised and run for the benefit of members from both Institutes. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview: In this talk, Ken will discuss the variables that can affect production and PQR weld metal CVN results. These include, but are not limited to pass sequence, heat input, cooling rate of the weld and HAZ, base material chemistry,  multi pass vs two run pass sequences. A detailed discussion on SAW consumables and the characteristics that dictate weld metal toughness will be included.  

Speaker: Ken Mui (Lincoln Electric)

Speaker Biography: Ken is a specialist in SAW working for Lincoln Electric in the USA. Ken is joining us in person to talk about his work.
