Paranoia or blind faith? The battle for trust, truth and information integrity in the age of Artificial Intelligence followed by Branch AGM

This event is organised by our Eastern Counties Branch for our members. Other members and non-members are very welcome to join us. Our talk will be followed by the Branch AGM which will commence at 7:30pm.

Overview:-  This presentation will examine how and why we need to establish trust in information and why it matters for expert-based companies like TWI. It then examines the destructive effect Artificial Intelligence (AI) is having on trust, before looking at some examples of governance that could enable a more conscious, reflective and ultimately beneficial engagement with AI.

Paul will also demonstrate the recently updated digital library portal available for use by Professional Members of The Welding Institute.
