Overview: The presentation will cover the exploitation of electron and laser beam welding in nuclear power generation and offshore wind applications. The talk will cover an update on new developments in the electron and laser beam systems leading to potential quality and production benefits in the fabrication of heavy walled structures in power generation plant
Speaker Biography: Chris was previously Head of Applications, Power and Energy at TWI, Cambridge. During his career, he has directed many ground-breaking research and development projects relating to welding and joining, material properties, and other advanced technologies in collaboration with a wide range of clients and partners throughout the oil and gas, renewable energy and power generation industries.
