Global Institute Webinar

All members of The Welding Institute are invited to join us for this technical talk.

Overview:- This lecture by Robert Stamp will show work conducted by him together with RWT Flowstopping Ltd describing how specialised fittings are welded onto live gas mains, in the process called Hot-Tapping. The talk will show how these attachments are tested and drilled, under live gas conditions. Robert will also describe a Stopple operation in detail. This will be a fascinating well illustrated lecture of these complex operations.

Examples shown will include connections for services to industrial customers and connections which form part of an operation called a Stopple, where a section of main is bypassed and isolated. The lecture will show all the stages of a Stopple and then how the fittings are blanked after use. To complete the evening, RWT Flowstopping Ltd will be present with Stopple equipment, Bag Stop equipment and some of the fittings.
