Attendees will gain an insight into the ‘carbon trading’ system that will affect what we pay for imported steel in the UK and how the system will affect what we export. They will gain an insight into the carbon reporting methods that will become mandatory in the very near future.

Tony Corrie - Steel decarbonisation and CBAM
He has been leading and growing businesses in the steel industry for 35 years with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. As the group Commercial Director at Barrett Steel, the UK’s largest Steel Stockholder and processor, he is responsible for the strategic direction, development and commercial performance of their Barrett Green Solutions initiative, which offers low embodied carbon steel to reduce the environmental impact of steel production and consumption.
