Technical Group Webinar

Delivered by the YOUNGER MEMBERS COMMITTEE (YMC)

This is the first of a series of FREE short webinars to be delivered by the YMC every couple of months.

The Younger Members’ Committee (YMC) aims to engage younger engineers in a supportive professional network, to encourage and assist their professional and career development.

The YMC also provides networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities for Younger Members of The Welding Institute, promote continuing professional development and represent the views and needs of younger members.

About this webinar

This webinar will cover the development, manufacture, and failure of welds as well as how each area of the welding and testing cycle contributes to asset or component longevity. Topics to be covered include welding, mechanical (destructive) testing, non-destructive testing, materials and defects...

This presentation will provide an overview of the different types of friction welding and processing, how they work, and some of the key industrial applications. Many people have not come across friction welding and processing before, so we look forward to sharing some exciting information on these interesting approaches.

In addition, there will be an insight into careers within the industry.
