Teesside Branch Event     

This is a Teesside Branch event organised and run by our Teesside   Branch for  members of the Branch. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview:- We will present the differences in flux cored and metal cored wires and present the advantages and disadvantages of seamed and seamless cored wires. We will then present the latest innovations in Low Manganese fume products with a live demonstration at the end

Speakers:- Stuart Thomas and Gary Taylor (Voestalpine Bohler Welding UK Ltd)

Speaker Biographies:- Stuart joined Bohler Welding in 1998. Studied Metallurgy up to HND level before completing EWE via TWI Cambridge. Now responsible for application services for the full UK with key account responsibilities in Nuclear, Oil and Gas and Pipeline segments. Gary joined Bohler Welding 2016. Gary has an extensive practical background having spent over 20 years for Babcocks welding on power and nuclear stations. He is IWS and PCN Level 2 welding inspector. He is Cored wire development manager for the business
