This is a London and Kent Branch event organised and run by our London Branch. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.
Overview:-The use of brazing dates back to around 4000 BC in Mesopotamia where the earliest recorded brazed joints were created. These early joints were made predominantly using gold and silver alloys and have stood the test of time and are still admired today for their craftsmanship. This talk would detail the brazing process and its beginnings to the present day, exploring the process’s development and the principles needed to produce consistent, sound, brazed joints. The talk will include slides and videos to give you a good understanding of brazing and its history.
Speaker:- Shaun Meakin
