Here at The Welding Institute we aim to emphasise the importance of education and training in welding, joining and allied technologies, for both initial and continuing professional development. The Welding Institute is the leading engineering institution supporting welding and joining professionals.

Professional Development (PD) is a learning process aimed at continuous improvement and growth. By joining Technical Group and Branch events you are able to obtain Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points. CPD is a way to demonstrate your learning and growth to colleagues, employers and industry experts.

We recently conducted a survey to all Student Members and most said they joined the Institute to access technical resources and guidance; Student Members also told us that they'd like us to improve on careers support.
