Overview: An overview of welding and joining activities at Rolls-Royce including some of the work underway to achieve zero emissions.
Speaker: Richard March (Global Process Lead - Welding and Joining)
Speaker Biography: Richard joined Rolls-Royce Plc in 1985 after gaining a Physics degree from the University of Birmingham. He is currently the Global Process Lead for Welding and Joining in Rolls-Royce, with responsibilities in: aerospace, nuclear and energy sectors. Richard is a Chartered Engineer with the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Richard’s career started in the NDT department, where he developed inspections for nuclear steam raising plant. He has subsequently undertaken a range of roles within the field of joining, including Rotatives’ Chief of Joining, with responsibility for joining processes applied to the critical rotating parts within gas turbines. Richard’s current role takes an overview of Rolls-Royce’s joining activities.
