East Midlands Branch Technical Talk

This is an East Midlands Branch event organised and run by our East Midlands for its members. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview: Melissa’s talk starts by challenging presumptions by stating that an environment of inclusion and acceptance of neuro-diversity allows people to feel comfortable with themselves, accommodates the benefits of combining different perspectives and inspires creativity and innovation towards achieving a collective goal. Neurodivergent people behave, think, process & interpret information in ways that differ from most other people. Embracing this neurodiversity and strengths associated with neurodivergent conditions, results in increased diversity in skills, ways of thinking and approaches to problem solving, increased competitive advantage and talent retention. She also discusses why embracing neurodiversity is important with respect to health and wellbeing.
