The Welding Quality Standard for Industry ISO 3834-2 and Branch AGM

This is a Southern Counties Branch event organised and run by our Southern Counties  Branch for  members of the Branch. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

The Branch AGM is an opportunity for members to provide feedback, suggestions and comments to develop and support the work of the Branch and The Welding Institute so do join the conversation! Please note, only Branch members can vote at the AGM.

Overview:- EN ISO 3834 is a welding quality standard that does not replace ISO 9001 but works alongside the standard to enhance the quality requirements for welding that ISO 9001 might not cover. The presentation reviews EN ISO 3834 and the interlinked relationship with EN 1090 and other standards. Reviewing each section in EN ISO 3834-2 standard.

Speaker Biography: Mike is an experienced Welding Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in different engineering industries. Skilled in Welding Engineering, EN and ASME Codes and Standards, PQR and WPS reviewing and writing, Root Cause Analysis, and Manufacturing Engineering. Strong engineering professional with a Masters degree in Welding Engineering from Cranfield University. Mike also contributes to a number of Welding Institite Committees and Working groups. 

Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Attending this event supports your professional development.  You can claim 2 CPD points per hour for this event.  As a member of the Welding Institute you can record your CPD activity online from your membership portal. CPD Certificates are not provided for Branch events.
